Misty Harbor Inn Giveaway from Guidepost Books!

Book three in the Postcards from Misty Harbor Inn series, Whispers on the Dock(Guideposts Books) is now availableCome back to Nantucket and be enthralled by the final installment of the cozy intrigue of Misty Harbor Inn.

i LOVED the first two books a whole lot. so i was pretty excited to get to review the last installment.

Three sisters. A charming inn. Hints of mystery and romance. And a gorgeous seaside setting. Escape to Misty Harbor Inn. As Nantucket reaches the pinnacle of its summer glory, and the Marris sisters welcome guests at Misty Harbor Inn, youngest sister Sam Carter enters her mother's cobbler recipe in the Summerfest baking contest. But she faces a formidable opponent, a past winner who is determined to keep her title even if it means stooping to dirty tactics. Can Sam's newfound faith help her rise above the fray and reach out to this lonely woman? Meanwhile, an elderly guest arrives who knows the inn's history, and the sisters are stunned to learn that their late mother lived there as a child. But she told them she'd never been to Nantucket until her honeymoon! Through the woman's reminiscences and photos, the sisters make an intriguing discovery -- not only about the mysterious Hannah Montague, the young woman who disappeared from the house in 1880, but also about their own family history.
Readers will delight in the inviting Nantucket setting and be enthralled by the adventures of these sisters who reunite to bring their mother's Misty Harbor dreams to life. -Book Description from Amazon.com

Book Review "Welcome to Last Chance" by Cathleen Armstrong

She's learned you can't count on anyone--but she didn't count on landing in Last Chance.
The red warning light on her car dashboard may have driven Lainie Davis to seek help in the tiny town of Last Chance, New Mexico, but as she meets the people who make this one-horse town their home, it's her heart that is flashing bright red warning lights. These people are entirely too nice, too accommodating, and too interested in her personal life--especially since she's on the run and hoping to slip away unnoticed.

Yet in spite of herself, Lainie is increasingly drawn into the small-town dramas and to a handsome local guy with a secret of his own. Could Lainie actually make a life in this little town? Or will the past catch up to her even here in the middle of nowhere? - Book Description from Revell Publishing

Welcome to last chance is a debut novel by cathleen armstrong. Although the way its written doesn't seem like its its a debut novel at all. I really anticipated this novel for some reason it just drew me in. lately most of the novels I anticipate they are usually a flop. But this sure wasn't and I was so excited about that fact.. I loved all the characters the story may have been boring to some but for me I just loved it and I sailed through the book pretty rapidly which was a surprise since I didn't know if it would end up going that fast. I was pleasantly surprised but then really infuriated because I was finished and I don't know when the next one will be available. I have no bad things to say whatsoever. I just really loved it. I cannot wait to see more from Cathleen thats for sure! Go check it out!

Available August 2013 at your favorite bookseller from Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group.

Book Review " The Icing on the Cake" by Janice Thompson

Scarlet isn't sure if she has just the right ingredients for true love--or utter disaster
Scarlet Lindsey is busy making her dreams come true. She's moved her bakery to a prime spot on Galveston's most popular street, she's planning an extravagant cake for her best friend's wedding, and she has a great relationship with Bella Neeley, the island's most popular wedding coordinator. Business is booming and Scarlet is enjoying the ride.

But when Bella's dangerously handsome brother Armando breezes into her life, Scarlet is faced with a sticky situation. Should she stay with the safe, sweet guy who's been a fixture in her life for years? Or will this brash Italian hunk melt her guarded heart? - Book decription from Revell publishing

The weddings by design series by Janice Thompson is pretty phenomenal. The next in the series is titled “The Icing on the Cake” the story continues with the cake baker named Scarlet. She was featured in the first novel and I had previously wished she was featured more so I’m thrilled that she is the main character in this book.

Janice and this series in general are spectacular. It really makes me sad that I didn't know about the Bella series sooner. Since its not just these books it just makes me wonder what I missed out on. But now with icing on the cake I just love how animated and descriptive the writing is. Its such a fun and easy read and I wouldn't have it any other way. I just hate waiting for the next novel in series. Scarlet and her aunt are quite the pair with the bakery. Aunt Wilhelmina seems like the most scary woman on the planet but its great when even that can translate really well in a novel then you know you have a great one. I really enjoyed this one and was a very fast read.

i'm excited!

Well since I wrote that last post about marriage. I do feel better. Thank you to all those who commented. I feel a little less crazy about it. But we haven't talked much more about it mostly because the boy is usually doing homework 24/7. blah. But it is what it is. Hopefully we can talk about it this week.

I'm getting super excited about things, our road trip to Oregon, I got a zoo pass, though we have to go there first haha. And i'm noticeably getting smaller! AND my hair is growing back!!!!! i'm so excited cause I look less bald. And the bad thing about getting smaller is that my clothes just aren't fitting and I don't have other ones. Like my capris I finally just took them off today cause I was tired of pulling them up every five seconds. I'm annoyed but happy at the same time. I gotta get working out though. I was going to today but I got interrupted with my neighbor needing help. So I did that but since i showered before in the morning that messes my whole routine up since I usually work out before I shower. Then I only get sweaty and gross once haha. I'm so weird about how I do things.

I need a hair cut bad, it got really long and stuff. I do have this irrational fear that if i get my hair cut it will look like i'm bald again though...

I was super annoyed because I haven't gotten a phone call about my blood test results, I also got the bill for the labwork haha go figure. So I looked up to see if anything was in my online chart and it was. But I dunno if i'm supposed to do anything else so i'm a bit irritated again. I guess i'll have to call tomorrow.

I dunno what else to really talk about. I just need to read and write reviews really badly. I have to write like 22 book reviews...... oh boy. I'm a little backlogged. But i'm just so excited about my hair and my weight. It just needs to be more and more hair and more weight gone. Then I will finally feel better.

Whats going on with everyone else?

It's always super exciting when a new veggietales DVD comes out. I don't have kids and am not married yet but that doesn't mean I’m not entertained by veggietales or even get something from it. You always no matter what age are able to gain something from the shows that big idea puts out. This one is no different. For one this one is SO hilarious. I really loved the humor. I loved that they were barber-barians instead of barbarians. And not only that but the leader of the pack was Chog-norious. Which instantly makes me think of chuck norus. SO amusing.
The messages are always great, I don't have any one thing I would point out at all for the message. It would have been better to see what kids I know would have gotten from it. But I wasn't able to get their input. I did love that they had veggietables I haven't seen before. Like an ear of corn and a turnip. They were so cute I loved it. I loved it all the way around. I would recommend it for sure just like every one of the shows that big idea puts out. Always top notch. It is out now so go check it out.

Also they have a new Christmas DVD coming out in a few months which looks so awesome. I can't wait to see it. Thank you to Big Idea for providing a copy of the DVD for review. I wasn't compensated in anyway.
