you know i'd walk a thousand miles if i could just see you...tonight

thats the song i was listening and i miss the boy and won't see him today so thats what i used as a title. haha no other reason i just couldn't think of a good title.

lets see i've been really bad at writing but i've been busy with the boy and with life. today i'm pretty blah. we had some major heat here in seattle and i hated it. now its back to my 70 degrees and i like it again.

we went to the seafair pirate landing and that was something i've never done it was kinda too crowded for me and we had miscommunication so we actually didn't see it together. oh well what can you do? we went to the street fair also but that was sorta boring. we also started our new obsession which is lego batman on the xbox 360 haha. we decided when we get married we want an xbox and a wii hahha we are such dorks.

i got offered a 10 hour a week (5 hours two days) watching a little girl from church so thats good it will give me enough to pay for insurance and stuff. so i'm excited about it. though i am not finding work for the other days yet and i had an argument with my dad. well more like he yelled at me then i proceeded to cry alone. oh pms you are lovely!

the other night the boy and i had date night. i cut his hair a lot before we left and it looks amazing! i was proud of myself. i love doing that for him cause it saves money. in other news we went to olive garden and saw despicable me it was funny.

sometimes i honestly wish that the boy and i could just go get married right now and be together but i dunno its sorta frustrating.

well i should go and work on some things to get my mind off of it. i cleaned a bit now i will either read or take apart the blanket i made. so i can redo it. good times. i really want to make granny squares but one craft project at a time.

i'm not too terribly exciting these days thats why i'm having a hard time figuring out what to write. hence all the book reviews haha. i have so many books to review. man oh man.

Book Review - David and Goliath by Bryan Hathaway

welcome to another addition of book reviews with miss aimymichelle. today we have David and Goliath by Bryan Hathaway. for some reason the mailman was hating me, he never gave me books in a timely manner so my book reviews are late. i literally got this book 2 days before the review was supposed to be posted. but i digress. onto the book! it is such a nice cover i wasn't sure what to expect since i thought it was gonna be a story based on the biblical story of David and Goliath.

but this book was such a good one, a fast read, it gets super confusing at times its a little hard to keep up with at times but that is just me. it was super well written and kept reeling you in to read more and more. i would definitely recommend this it is great! i don't want to give away the story so i won't but its just good!

"David Liberty is a broken, lonely, and embittered old man. With his mind still intact but trapped in a failing body, doomed to spend his last days in a nursing home, David welcomes his impending death-his escape from life. All that changes when he is visited by an angel, Joelle, who confronts his past failings and offers David a second chance at life. At first David scoffs, but the chance to renew his body and live again intrigues him. But there is an extraordinary condition: "You will demonstrate to God through your actions that you believe and love Him," Joelle announces. David must help others reignite their faith so they do not lose eternity. Temporarily escaping his nursing home, David is thrown into the lives of people he begins to care deeply for. He hopes to reunite them with God, but he discovers another obstacle-the angel has removed David's ability to speak. In addition, David must fight a powerful enemy, who seeks to destroy God's children any way he can-and David, as well!"

Thank you to Glassroad for providing this book for me to review. all these thoughts are my own and i wasn't compensated in any way.

Book Review - Influenza Bomb by by Paul McCusker and Walt Larimore, MD

Influenza bomb here is the description:

“Masses of people are dying from a mysterious flu. While the TSI team searches for a cure, a notorious eco-terrorist group,Return to Earth, uses an influenza bomb to poison the water. It’s a race against time—with the outcome impacting the entire world.

By the time the team discovers that the terrorists are using the water supply to infect people, the sickness is spreading worldwide and no one has a cure. When Return to Earth makes off with a mysterious device called the influenza bomb with the intent to destroy all of mankind, Dr. Hutchinson must stop the contamination from being spread before it’s too late. “

I waited so long for this book and I thought it was gonna be so great. But honestly I just couldn't get into it at allw hen I started reading it. It was super sad to me but I guess thats just how it is. It happens sometimes.

Book Review - Unwilling Warrior by Andrea Boeshaar

Unwilling Warrior by Andrea Boeshaar is the first book in the Seasons of Redemption series.

The Cover is so nice. Sometimes the cover makes the book amazing. Other times a cover is good but the book is a stinker. But that is not the case with this book. It was a lot shorter than most of the books i've been reading lately. But that was good for a change. The characters are super intruiging. Valerie has such a story and goes through such pain. But in the end it works out for the good with a man who was only supposed to be her guest in the house. Is such a great story and I can't wait for the next book to come out.

“When Valerie commits her own life to Christ she finds herself drawn to Ben, the Christian houseguest in her home. But her father, against her wishes, is prepared to sell her into a loveless marriage with someone else. Will Valerie be forced to abandon her newfound love? Or will she and Ben, against the backdrop of the Civil War, become in their own way, unwilling warriors? “

thank you to glassroad for the copy of the book to review.

the pirates are landing!

and i am gonna go. its a seattle thing. i'm excited. i've never been to it. and the street fair is this weekend so excited for that too!

well i did end up cutting the boys hair and i did amazing! i was so proud of myself. i did cut my hand with the scissors though. that kinda sucked but what can you do.

i've been super tired lately hopefully those thyroid things will kick in soon. um i drove on the freeway for the first time last friday. and that was crazy but good!

i have watched the little boy soren more. so thats good but also on tuesday i watched little miss callie and she is great i love her. i watch her again tomorrow. hopefully it will be a regular two day a week gig. that will make me happy.

what doesn't make me happy is the heat we are gonna have. i went to get a fan yesterday and got interviewed for the news. so weird. i had a serious case of the stupids yesterday too haha. i went to do the errands after watching callie and i forgot stuff when i got home. like i did all the shopping got back home then was like OH CRAP so i went back to the store haha it was lame. ah well. also with the heat comes the allergies which i'm really annoyed about. cause my eyes are constantly watering my nose is running and its just sorta miserable. but such is life.

i'm sure there was more that i wanted to say but at this point i cannot remember. OH

the 4th. we went to my moms friends house out in snohomish which is like the country land. so it was pretty cool and fun. we came home so we wouldn't be in traffic but fireworks bug me people are so stupid with them. so i was infuriated. and tired. my granny got a new puppy she is SO cute. so we had lilly go stay at grannys cause we didn't know when we'd be home. so that was that. but lilly didn't pay attention to the puppy much. the pup even tried to cuddle with her but lilly just got up and moved to a different spot. haha my dog is so anti-social. well i guess i better go and finish the stuff i wanted to do. until later!

Book Review - Missing Max by Karen Young

missing max is a book about a family whos baby was taken during mardi gras. Here is the description:

“When baby Max is kidnapped during Mardi Gras, Jane and Kyle Madison’s life falls apart. What their daughter, Melanie, does next is unthinkable.

Max vanished into thin air while in the care of his teenage sister, Melanie. Six months later, the family is a shadow of its former self: Melanie blames herself and is acting out and rebellious; Jane is obsessed with finding Max; and Kyle, a lawyer, struggles to cope with his own grief—and a persistent suspicion that one of his cases is connected to Max’s disappearance.

With her family in turmoil and her marriage on the rocks, Jane thinks things can’t get any worse. Then when an affair and an unexpected pregnancy threaten to tear the Madisons’ lives apart, an anonymous caller leads to a break in the case. Can a second kidnapping bring their family back together?”

I haven't read the whole thing yet to be honest. There was a lot of mix up with the mail and it took so long so I just read a few chapters and decided to post this so I wasn't so far off schedule with it. (though I am anyways). But the few chapters I read It was heartbreaking and intruiging all at the same time.

since last time i've been doing okay with the changes. other stuff has happened and i'll just write about all ofit now. i dunno why i haven't written but time got away from me i guess. and i've been pretty busy.

so the changes at church, the boy has helped me feel at ease. and honestly hopefully he will be cleared for serving soon then we will be serving together and i'm so excited for that! and i went through the toys got rid of the broken ones. so that is good.

the boy and i are doing really good lately he is amazing and i love him. i am so hugely blessed i can't even believe it sometimes. i am so happy with things. i am cutting his hair today. i've never cut hair before haha i don't think i'll screw it up/ but he trusts me enough to let me do it. so i'm happy about it.

still don't have those books i was waiting for haha its really annoying but its okay. guess i gotta learn paitence.

well my working out streak went okay for awhile but then i stopped. last week i had emailed my doctor about how i was feeling and she told me i needed to have my iron and thyroid checked. so i went in the next day. and the day after that i got my results super quick. my iron is doing better. but my thyroid is really bad its not functioning very well its so much worse than it was before. so now i have a natural perscription and taking an herbal pill too. i just want this all to be over and me to be okay its just bugging me.

last week i babysat for a little boy named soren and it was the first time i sat for that family. it was amazing the kid went right to sleep for a nap and he was so happy even with mom left. he just waved to her and smiled. he is a busy one though. and after that i went to firepit friday with the boy. my friend from church janni has that at her house every friday. food and smores on the fire. its amazing i can't wait to go for more fire pit fridays. the boy a nd i went so it was fun.

i also got my lisa leonard necklace in the mail. it is SO amazing. i got little hearts one with an a and one with a j for me and the boy and i didn't tell him just showed him and he loved it! it was great. anyway i think i autta go read a book. seems thats all i do but at least i love it! til next time!
